2010 - Home-Brew Beginnings
While on a camping trip for work Jerrad Oakley was introduced to home-brewed beer and it was love at first taste. Jerrad immediately purchased a kegerator and began brewing his own beers.
2010 - Sharing the Brew Bug
Jason and Jerrad have always loved sharing laughs and brews. Once Jason was exposed to home-brewing he quickly fell in love. The brothers’ bond became even stronger.
2011 - A Logical Next Step
Jerrad’s wife Lisa always preferred wine over beer so the brothers began crafting their own wines.
2012 - Bootlegger Roots
From bootlegger roots, the spirits started flow when the brothers decided to try distilling.
2013 - A Trip to Peru
While on a trip to Peru it was decided the brothers start their own distillery. It was full speed ahead from that point.
December 2013 - Submitted Application for a Distillery
2014 - The First Batch
2015 - The Bottling Begins
The first bottles the original Indiana Moon start to roll off the line.
Late 2016 - The Next Phase Begins
Oakley Brothers’ Distillery comes into possession of a historic building on the corner of 8th Street and Jackson in Anderson, Indiana.
2017 - Construction
Throughout 2017 both Jason and Jerrod, while still working their day jobs, started the construction of the new facility in the evenings.
Late 2017/Early 2018
The Brother’s added CT Doxey Brewing Co and several new spirits along with putting the finishing touches on the Oakley Brothers’ Cocktail Lounge.
